We’ve just launched our Q1 2026 release, and I wanted to share what’s new with the Advania Community. This quarter was about getting the fundamentals right: making Fresh work for everyone, keeping everything feeling native to Microsoft 365, and building what you’ve been asking for.
WCAG 2.2 AAA compliance: Accessibility at the highest standard
Fresh is now WCAG 2.2 AAA compliant – the highest global accessibility standard available. This isn’t just about compliance checkboxes; it’s about making sure every person in your organization gets a brilliant intranet experience, regardless of ability or the device they’re using.
We’ve always said accessibility would be at the heart of everything we build. This release is us backing that up with action. Usability and inclusivity are now embedded across the entire product, raised to the highest possible standard. And we’re not stopping here. Accessibility will continue to drive how we think about every feature we build.
Save for later: Works exactly like Microsoft 365
We’ve introduced a “Save for later” capability that works seamlessly across Fresh, following the exact same patterns Microsoft uses for bookmarking and favourites.
Why does this matter?
- No learning curve: If your employees know how to favourite a document in Word or save a SharePoint page, they already know how to use this feature in Fresh
- Consistent experience: Saved items appear in Fresh components as well as in Viva Connections and SharePoint’s native “Saved for later” web part
- One experience, everywhere: Your content follows your employees wherever they work in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Fresh evolves alongside Microsoft 365, so your intranet always feels native, connected, and ready for what’s next.
Built from your feedback
A significant portion of this release came directly from client requests. We’re talking about usability improvements, reporting tweaks, content management enhancements – the kind of things that might not make flashy headlines but make your day-to-day work noticeably easier.
When clients tell us something isn’t working quite right or suggest a better way to do something, we listen and act on it. Fresh is genuinely shaped by the people who use it every day, and this release proves it.
What’s coming in Q2
We’re already deep into development for the next release. Here’s a preview of what’s taking shape:
- More personalised page experiences with new display styles and richer visual controls
- AI-powered search capabilities for more intelligent content discovery
- Smarter reasoning in FreshMind (our intranet AI)
- A completely refreshed feedback experience to make it easier for employees to share input
These are early previews of features planned for the upcoming release and may evolve as development progresses, but there’s plenty to look forward to.
For Fresh customers
If you’re already using Fresh, your Customer Success Manager will walk through these updates in detail at your next catch-up.
For those evaluating intranet solutions
If you’re exploring intranet options, this release demonstrates our commitment to building an intranet that’s accessible, native to Microsoft 365, and continuously improving based on real customer needs, not just feature trends.
