Welcome to the Advania Community! Want to make sure you never miss an update, conversation, or piece of content that's important to you? Here’s a quick guide on how to customise your notifications, follow content, and save posts to stay in the loop.
đź”” 1. Follow categories to get notified
You can follow specific categories, like “AI” or “Cyber Security” to get notified when new posts are published.
To follow a category:
- Go to the category you’re interested in.
- Click the bell icon đź”” in the top right.
- Choose your notification preference (bell for in-app notifications and email for inbox notifications):

2. Follow specific libraries & articles
The Community Library is your space for how-tos, guides and articles from the Advania experts.
Within this space we have several libraries grouped by subject. Now you can follow those libraries that are most relevant to you to get notified when an article is published or updated.
To follow a library:
- Go to the library you’re interested in.
- Click the bell icon đź”” at the top of the page
- Choose your notification preference (bell for in-app notifications and email for inbox notifications):
🧵 3. Follow specific discussions or questions
If there’s a conversation you’re interested in (whether you’ve commented or not) you can follow it directly.
To follow a discussion:
- Click the bookmark icon at the top right of the post.
You’ll be notified when someone comments or replies. You can also come back to your bookmarked posts at any time here.
📬 4. Check and update your notification settings
Want to get notified when receiving a badge? Prefer real-time alerts? You can tailor your experience further.
To update your notification settings:
- Click your profile picture (top right).
- Go to Account & Privacy Settings > Notification Preferences.
- Select what types of content you want to be notified about and how email or pop-up.
