Hi all!
Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing a series of articles on security architecture here in the community, written by @RossKirk_Advania, one of our Technical Architects at Advania.
The aim of the series is to break down security architecture in a practical way moving beyond individual tools to look at how organisations can design security into every layer of their environment as complexity and risk continue to grow.
These articles reflect patterns and challenges Ross and the wider team see regularly when working with customers across different industries.
We'll post each article as its own discussion so there’s space to ask questions and continue the conversation.
Security architecture explained - Part 1
Security architecture is often discussed in theory, but what does it actually mean in practice especially for organisations trying to get ahead of threats rather than reacting to them? This article breaks down the core principles behind secure-by-design environments, including zero trust, defence in depth, business alignment, and continuous improvement.
It also highlights how existing tools (like identity, endpoint, and cloud protection services) can be used effectively as part of an overall security strategy without always needing additional tooling.
