Identities are one of the most important aspects of security if not the most important. It is also one of the most attacked components in technology.
With the greater exposure of identities and identity access management solutions through cloud and SaaS, the importance of properly and proactively managing identities becomes significantly higher.
The risks of not managing identities proactively and continually are great and include:
- Unauthorised access (resulting in loss of confidentiality, impact to integrity, and impacting availability of data or systems)
- Data Loss or Theft
- Trust Abuse resulting in financial loss or reputational damage
- Breach of compliance and privacy laws
These are common problems for all organisations to be mindful of. With the majority of our clients being on Microsoft's Entra ID technology and it underpinning authentication and authorisation to many of their key line of business applications and data, we've created an appropriate service to help mitigate these risks.
The Managed Identity service focuses on proactive management of Entra ID across all types of identities to ensure that this attack surface is continually minimised as over time it can often become stale (e.g. joiners, movers, leavers, system changes, new technology integrations, etc).
