We've just launched our next Managed Detection and Response variant specifically targeted at Microsoft Office 365. Basically, looking for threats in Email (Outlook / Exchange Online), Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
This adds to our MDR solution for the endpoint attack surface, creatively named MDR for Devices. This MDR variant is called MDR for Email and Files - I do like a does what it says on the tin title!
MDR for Email and Files leverages Microsoft's Defender for Office365 P2 solution to help prevent, detect and respond to modern threats. The MDR service layers on the 24/7 eyes on screen people element as well as the established threat detection and response processes (baselines, maintenance, response runbooks, etc) in order to protect one of the most critical areas that either hosts sensitive information or controls some aspect of your day to day business operations.
It doesn't replace our Managed CSOC service, as that is still focused on the broader arena of threat detection and response whereas the MDR variants focus on specific attack surfaces.
Primarily, we are addressing the evolution of threats and their indifference in attacking any type or size of organisation including smaller businesses. Our MDR services are focused on businesses that need enterprise level protection but need to prioritise on the most likely threats and attack vectors.
MDR services are largely turnkey requiring less decision making and so faster Time to Value.
